this past weekend was full of fun, sunshine, friends and family. friday and saturday were a blast, the weather was perfect and we spent the whole time outside. friday night we bbq'd in the back yard and then once the sun went down we colored easter eggs under the back yard twinkle lights.

saturday was the earth day festival in downtown houston. we went with our friends brandi and jacob. it was the most bee-utiful day. i got a tiny sunburn but can't complain. we all had a great time.
they had a pretty pathetic farmers market, which was the number one thing i was excited about, but it was still a lot of fun.

and played in the fountains.
we had snow cones.and played frisbee.observed some very unique art.people watched.and soaked up the sun while listening to music.
on the way out the kiddos picked a bunch of pretty flowers.
afterwards we went to onion creek, an amazing little cafe here in the heights, with our friends josh & elise and their new baby baxter. it was the perfect end to the perfect day! unfortunately i woke up easter morning terribly sick with the flu. i spent a few good hours with the kiddos, saw what the easter bunny brought and had an easter egg hunt. soon after i had to retire to my bedroom for the rest of the day. the kids had a great easter even though momma was sick and i am so glad. it was a lovely, friend and family filled weekend!
